Roger Parker has been a leader in the moving industry for over 30 years. He has won numerous awards for quality service and customer satisfaction during his 25 years on the road as a driver / owner for United Van Lines. Roger is now the owner of Nanaimo Minute Men, a United van Lines agent in Nanaimo BC, Metro Moving and Storage, a Nanaimo moving company and agent for Mayflower Van Lines, and Duncan Moving and Storage, an agent for United Van Lines serving Duncan and the Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island. These 3 major moving companies form the Moving Component of the Parker Relocation Group.
Peggy Henwood has overall responsibility for the planning, logistics and coordination of all Local Moves, Long Distance Moves, Office Moves, and Overseas Relocations for the Parker Relocation Group. A very busy and complex department is run by this dynamic lady who really works at getting the very best moving services for our customers and quality performance from her crews.
Peggy has more than 15 years’ experience in the Moving and Relocation Industry and is a key player in our moving companies that serve Nanaimo, Parksville, Qualicum and Duncan areas.
Teresa Hartley is the senior relocation consultant for Duncan Moving & Storage. Teresa joined Duncan Moving & Storage in 2009.
Teresa has moving in her blood. Teresa grew up in Victoria, BC where her family owned a Mayflower Van Lines moving agency. She started working in the family business in 1984. Taking time to raise a family she still has over 13 years of moving industry experience.
Teresa truly cares about people and enjoys helping to make their moving experience as stress free as possible. She loves her job and it shows
Joyce Bennett is the Manager of Duncan Moving & Storage. This office provides Local and Long Distance moves in Duncan and the Cowichan Valley.
Joyce joined Duncan Moving & Storage in 2007.
With more than 25 years’ experience in the moving industry, Joyce has held positions in customer service, accounting, operations and management. Throughout her career Joyce has worked for United Van Line members in Alberta, The Northwest Territories and British Columbia.
In her current role Joyce’s responsibilities include overseeing staff and relocations in the Cowichan Valley to ensure every move provided by Duncan Moving & Storage is worry free and performed in a professional manner.

Born in London, England, Michael graduated from the Royal Air Force College Hereford with a degree in International Logistics. He spent four years in the Expatriate Administration department of a major American oil company in London, England where he supervised relocations, housing, education, taxes, benefits and H.R. services to more than 350 American employees and their families living and working in the Europe-Africa Division. Michael has been involved in the “Relocation Industry” ever since. He has worked as an Owner, Vice President, Director, and Relocation Management Consultant with all the major Van Lines in Canada and the USA, for over 30 years. Now having relocated to Vancouver Island, Michael is working with the Parker Relocation Group as Director of Business Development.
Holly, a Golden Retriever is now 6 months old and is our official office greeter at the Parker Relocation Group Head Office in Nanaimo.
She is still in training but is already well loved by our visitors and clients.
